This 55-year-old gentleman presented to endocrine clinic following an episode of septicaemic shock complicating benign prostatic surgery one year previously. Perioperative prolonged lithium-induced nephrogenic diabetes insipidus

Introduction: Lithium-induced nephrogenic diabetes insipidus (NDI) occurs in approximately 20% of patients on chronic lithium therapy, and additionally 30% of patients have impaired concentrating ability of urine.
